Requirements
We are seeking a Field Services Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the Help Desk and Computer Support Technicians as well as provide technical support for internal users and customers at our Central Services Office.
The Field Services manager must be able to manage in an environment of highly skilled, technical people. He or she must be able to lead, coach, and facilitate the activities of these people toward the accomplishment of the evolving technical service mission, and have a high quotient of skills and insights into the specific demands of customers, subordinates, and the service business environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business and Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar position and previous management experience required. Microsoft MCP, A+, Network +, or similar certifications a plus. Proficiency troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading desktop computer systems and peripherals also required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to managing user/site satisfaction, operations and team performance management, desktop software and hardware evaluation, purchase site related equipment, and provide technical assistance to users and direct reports.
Must consistently use and display solid communication skills, be highly organized, and be able to thrive in a team based environment.
Must be willing to work some evenings/weekends for off hours system maintenance and be able to travel to remote sites (Indiana,Ohio) if needed.
