Dr. Schroer has been with the Hilliard office of American Health Network since 1996. He received his M.D. fromt he Ohio State University in 1989 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus where he earned honors in his family practice rotation and letters of recommendation from the departments of surgery and internal medicine. Dr. Schroer began his medical practice in Hilliard immediately after completing his residency in 1992, and joined American Health Network in 1996. He has received recognition from the NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) for quality care in the areas of diabetes and coronary artery disease.
Dr. Schroer and his wife and four children traveled to Kenya on month-long medical missions in 1999 and again in 2000. He prvoided medical care at a mission hospital and helped train Kenyan medical residents. Eric currently volunteers at the Xenos free clinic in Columbus.
Dr. Schroer’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians (since 1992) and the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Schroer has remained current with his board certification by the American Board of Family Practice since 1992.
Dr. Schroer and his wife reside in Upper Arlington. They have three adults sons, one adult daughter, and one daughter-in-law. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, volleyball, and rock collecting. He currently serves as a deacon at Xenos Christian Fellowship where he leads a home group Bible study.
