Dr. Miller is originally from Kokomo, IN where he attended Northwestern High School, graduating in 1984. He completed his undergraduate education at Indiana University in 1988. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Other under graduate honors include 4.0 GPA Award, Who’s Who Recognition, Academic All-American and several fraternal honors.

Dr. Miller pursued his Medical education at Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He received Half-Tuition Scholarship for all four years of medical school and graduated Valedictorian of his Medical Class of 1992. Dr Miller elected to pursue his surgical training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. His surgical training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Loyola University was part of the Orthopaedic Surgery Department, so this afforded Dr. Miller the opportunity to train with experts in Podiatric Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Miller gained national recognition during his tenure at Loyola University Medical Center by receiving the First Place Award for Scientific Writing by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery for his thesis research entitled “The Inverted Z Bunionectomy-Quantitative Analysis of the Scarf and Inverted Bunionectomy Osteotomies in Fresh Cadaveric matched Pair Specimens”.

After completing his training in Podiatric Surgery, Dr Miller was awarded an opportunity to participate in an AO Trauma Fellowship through Synthes Oethopaedics International. He completed his Trama fellowship in 1995 at Harborview Medical Center/University of Washington Hospitals and then returned to Indianapolis to establish his Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgical Practice.

Dr. Miller has been in group/multi-specialty since 1995 and enjoys caring for his patient’s foot and ankle problems in a compassionate and conservative manner. Dr. Miller specializes in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatric Foot Surgery and Sports Medicine. He has authored several articles in foot Surgery and continues to lecture nationally to other physicians regarding Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgical Procedures.

Dr. Miller is an AO Faculty member, helping teach other Foot and Ankle Surgeons techniques in surgery and he currently is the Director of Fellowship training at American Health Network in Indianapolis, IN.
