Meniscus repair

The meniscus is a band of cartilage in the knee. It acts as a shock absorber and stabilizes the knee. It also protects the cartilage that covers the ends of the thigh bone and shinbone. If a meniscus tears, it can be repaired with arthroscopic surgery.
