Herniated discs

Some of the vertebrae in the back are cushioned by soft discs that allow the spine to move. If one of these discs slips out of place, it’s called a herniated disc. This is a common injury that can happen in any part of the spine.

A herniated disc can cause severe pain and other problems in the arms or legs.
