Stay active

Exercising after you are diagnosed has been linked to living longer. It also could lower the chances of certain types of cancer returning. Be sure to eat lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Avoid processed and fried foods.

Have a care plan in place

This is helpful so that you know when your follow-up appointments are. You’ve been through a lot, so you may be dealing with difficult emotions. Take the time to focus on you and maybe join a local support group.
